Zazzle announced on their blog today that they have added new Star Wars mugs and mousepads to their Star Wars Shop. Honestly, I’ve never paid much attention to the licensed stuff that they carry (Star Wars, Disney, Barbie, Family Guy, etc) but anything about Star Wars usually gets my attention. I’ve been a dedicated fan since 1987 when my parents bought their first VCR, and rented their first movie at the video store: “The Umpire Strikes Back”. That’s what I thought they said anyway, and I didn’t want to watch some stupid movie about baseball, so I went down to the basement to play with my toys. About an hour later I got bored and came back upstairs and saw that this movie was definitely not about baseball. I watched the rest of it, then watched it again the next day, then watched Star Wars and Return of the Jedi, and I was hooked for life.

So when I saw that announcement today I checked out the Star Wars Shop and they do have a lot of images to choose from. Unfortunately there’s not much old school stuff for people like me who think the new movies are sort of “meh”. So, Zazzle, if you are listening, offering some of the old school stuff like the original t-shirt designs from the 70s might help attract fans in the over thirty crowd such as myself.
