The green military cap offers a rectangular embroidery area, while the other products have circular areas. They also have suggestions for creating your images. You can read the tips here, but the basic idea is to use a busy detailed image rather that a simple one color design with a solid background.
So, in one word, awesome! I hope the quality is good, I will have to whip myself up a design and order something to check it out. I love the caps. Already I am seeing lots of new possibilities for these items.

Wow - having fun now… I’m finding a bit of a learning curve to making a great looking embroidered design with Cafepress’s new process. But it’s great fun and I hope to offer some cool new designs in all my shops.
I too just discovered the embroidered design at cafepress, a bit disappointed with the small size and shapes. It’s more like patches than real products, the one Fidel hat stands out the most, I made a design for both hats and I think it will sell check it when you can would love some feed back. I tried all the new products but not impressed other than the hats.
